What a lovely morning! Jennifer was such a lovely teacher and made us feel relaxed and enthused to ?have a go?. We enjoyed the informal atmosphere and despite it being a small group, we bounced ideas and shared our work to support us through the techniques. I would definitely recommend to other nervous beginners and we are already booked on our next challenge 😃

Title or Location: Twilight in Penarth
I used to live in Penarth, and find it an interesting town by the sea, with lovely shopping, eclectic coffee shops, parks, and of course the wonderful pier. I am also fascinated by the wonderful lamps in Britain and beyond, their history and intricate designs. Hence this lovely lamp, taken from its neighbours, to stand proud and alone, but with the outline of the pier behind to illustrate its context of Penarth.

Chasing the sunset. I'm an artist and mother with a great love of running. Since becoming a mother in 2021, my free time has dwindled into near non-existence. So, when I do get out for a run, I always want to make the most of it. With little time to train, my exercise had been condensed into early mornings and evenings around my boy's sleep times. Despite the less favourable timing this has brought with it the glorious benefit of gorgeous winter sunrises and sunsets across the water.Alon

I usually work with soft pastels and, recently started trying out watercolour. I discovered that although it's an unpredictable medium, I love the soft hues of watercolour washes. I became fascinated with learning the techniques involved with gold leaf embellishment and added just a smidgeon

I painted this to commemorate an amazing mentor. - my college philosophy professor. This is actually Nietzsche, someone he deeply admired. Since I admired my professor, it seemed fitting to paint this in his memory. He passed away after I graduated, but his impact on my college education stayed with me forever.
